"Monet in a cable knit sweater"

Oil on museum quality ampersand Gessobord Panel 6" x 6"

I've been spinning my wheels since the break-in, trying to recoup my lost images and data. I did order a new computer today and am looking forward to my shiny new PC. Yes, I have returned to the dark side. I'm sure Macs are fine for some but I never really loved mine. It did have a beautiful monitor but it was like riding an Italian motorcycle; pretty but full of quirks, and what's with the CD drive? That alone kept me from getting another one.

Monet here was a fun little piece to help get me back to the easel. It reminds me of a George Rodrique blue dog painting.

It kills me that someone as nice as you obviously are should have the break-in happen to them. Not right!

Is this little Monet available for sale?

I know this is gonna sound corny or strange, whatever, but this little dog's eyes are simply DREAMY, I could DROWN in them. I also like the subtle coloration in the fur... Mark, I can't even imagine losing my computer!! Glad to hear you've ordered another... Hang in there!

Kate,

Check on www.dailypainters.com and see if the pay-pal button is still up. I think it is still available, at least until tomorrow.

Thanks, Diane. This painting is all about her eyes. It's been said that the eyes are the window to the soul. I think that is true in Monet's case.

The greatest loss with my computer is all my reference material and all of last years painting files, much of which I have relocated with the help of my friend Diane. I won't get my new computer until the end of the month so I am trying to piece things together here in the studio as best I can.

Oh those dog eyes! How do they manage to look so beseeching and soulful?

Beautiful brush strokes in that background.

Thanks, Cindy

I tried to push some Prussian blue into the background to relate to the blue in the fur. I'm glad you noticed.
Your spotted shoe looks like something Cruella DeVille might wear.
