Oil on museum quality, archival ampersand gessobord™ panel - 6” x 8”
I was going to call this "Four aces and his stop" but C.M. Coolidge beat me to it. This guy looks like he might be holding a royal flush from the look on his face. This is one of the "calling all dogs" reference. Thanks, Pegi Sue for the model and thanks everyone who sent me the fun images to play with. You will see more in the weeks to come.

You did two! I'd say that you're back. Especially loved JJ; what a wonderful muse he is.
What a sly devil!
I dropped by to visit "my" JJ and saw this... you certainly know how to make us smile.
I took the time to read your entire Blog today, including a few comments and learned quite a bit, perhaps too much(just kidding). It's not easy to bare ones soul.
I have a theory that some artist do just that by placing a portion of who they are in everything they do.
It's extremely rare to find a visual artist with your abilities (or any abilities for that matter) to have such a command of Grammar and Writing.
Your writing has the ability to make us laugh or cry.
Your Joke on the previous post made me laugh...I should have paid better attention during my English lessons.
Hey, Deb. I feel like the hands are working again. Have fun in Ireland!
Thanks for stopping by Diane.
Alice, I'm impressed that you read the whole blog from the beginning; it's longer than War and Peace. You are quite right that we bare our souls in our work.
I do enjoy writing (thank God for spell check).
Oh Sorry... I need to make a correction and say that when I wrote "read" I really meant looked at all the photos and stopped to skim over the ones I liked... Just don't want to take full credit for that much concentration.
Looking forward to more of your artwork, and writing!
Alice, I'm glad you didn't spend too much time reading my rambling musings. Your time is better spent in the studio. I am going to the ocean for a few days, so don't worry that I am creatively lost again. This R&R was in the works before the meltdown.
MARK!!!! He's BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! I just put a link to your blog on a site where Caymus's dad is all the time, LOTS of people will now be seeing this. HE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!
Thank you so much!! I hope that Jerry gets in touch w/ you and tells you Caymus's story, he's been thru a lot...
Oh, thank you SO much!!!:)
Great job Mark!!! Like PegiSue, I know Caymus' dad (via the internet) and he is THRILLED with what you've done.
I love your work!
Thanks, Pegi Sue, He was a fun guy to paint. That knowing little smile and mischievous look comes through in the work.
Thanks for the compliment, Linda.
I know!! Someone just commented on that on Bonaire Talk. How you caught his spirit!! Oh, I don't know if Jerry has seen it yet...I can't wait for him to see!! He's going to LOVE it! Maybe more than me, if that is possible!!
You are FABULOUS!!:)

Hi Mark, I'm the goy that Caymus owns. I have to say that seeing the boy this morning brought some tears of joy. Caymus and I have beaten cancer together and he is, and always will be, my best friend. That short was taken as Caymus was grooving to some cool jazz.
Mark, YGM.
Thanks PS, I love you!
OMG! I have tears from seeing Caymus and Mark, you did excellent in catching Caymus's true spirit! What awesome talent!
PegiSue, you are the best! A true friend and glad to know you!
