Please Stand By... (ndp)

As predicted, packing and moving is taking its toll on my creative output. Right now the studio is in shambles. I have kept out the bare essentials for painting, just in case I can summon up the mindset and time to lay brush to canvas but I fear that may be a pipe dream for the next month or so. Its a pity, too, because I just saw a wonderful exhibit; “Luis MelĂ©ndez: Master of the Spanish Still Life" at the National Gallery in Washington and came home full of inspiration. If you live in the area, you should try and see this show. The man really knew his onions! His elements were few and oft repeated in varying compositions rendering glass, copper pots, bread, and a plethora of fruits and vegetables with amazing skill. I was impressed.

Do post an occasional verbal blog or visual eye candy when you get a few quiet moments in between the move- for all of us who love hearing how you are doing. We delight in the inspiration that you provide to so many with your words and imagery.

thank you!

happy packing,
have fun creating new realities.

Thanks, Alston. I'm already getting antsy about being away from the easel.

Love that cover canvas of the two whippets on the couch no ones paints whippets. One question why grey/white whippets I have a beautiful black and tan AKC/CKC who every body says they have never seen such a beautiful dog (or to me my little girl) beautiful work. Do you know of Tammy Laye a Canadian artist I have a commissioned German Shepard by her.

Send my some pics of your black and tan whippet, I'd love to see her. (mark@markadamsstudio.com) I checked out Tammy Laye's work - she is very talented.

I have packing, unpacking! However, you are moving to a grand new house and it is going to be wonderful once the dust settles.

Spent today condensing the last fifteen years into a series of cubes - aka cardboard boxes. One highlight is finding stuff that has been missing for years.
