Sammy upside down and happy

Oil on museum quality ampersand gessobord panel 6" x 8"

My boy Sammy was vying to be on the blog again so how could I resist? Although my wife disagrees, I think the background looks like a roaring volcano or the flames of Hades. Sam has a little white bib and a white tum with he is obviously proud of, as he is fastidious about keeping it snowy white.

This is so perfect, Mark. I recently started a cat painting of my orange tabby in this "aren't I adorable" pose but haven't been able to figure out how to make him look like he hasn't just croaked.

You pulled this off wonderfully! Beautifully painted.

I really like your work, especially the kittehs. You're quite good at capturing their body language. I've never wanted to bellyscruffle a painting before--A+!

Thanks, One.

Thanks, Diana. That means a lot coming from you.

Thanks, RL. Sammy frequently strikes this pose and a belly-scruff, a kiss, or raspberries are always the result. Oh, the indignity. (He pretends not to like it but his purrs give him away)
