New Orleans Horse and Cart

Oil on museum quality ampersand gessobord panel 8" x 10"

So much for coming back tanned, rested and ready. Oh, well. I've always felt a little sorry for the poor horses in front of the Saint Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square. It can't be fun in July and August pulling a cart full of sweaty tourists around the French Quarter. On the bright side - it is relatively flat and they know the drill so maybe it isn't that bad a gig. Speaking of sweaty tourists - we set a record here in Baltimore yesterday - 105 degrees! Woo hoo!

Thanks, Diane. As cute as he is, I know people were getting tired of seeing JJ day after day.

I gave you a "Beautiful Blogger" award. Please come over to my site and paste & copy it to your blog. I understand the recipient is to turn around (within a month or so?) and select 10 blogs with a "BB" award. AND, for me the hard part, list 10 things about yourself on your blog. I hope you are honored and not annoyed with my tapping you as a blog I truly enjoy.

Please do not feel obligated to "tag" 10 other bloggers or to copy & paste the award to your site. Participate if it pleases you and know that I have you listed as one of the blogs I enjoy.

Margaret, I cannot tell you how flattered and honored I am that you feel my blog deserves this award. I will gladly add the award to my site, although to paraphrase Garth and Wayne - "I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy!" A look at the entry dates clearly shows that I have been remiss in keeping up with my blog and have disappointed those that follow it. Life keeps getting in the way but a hope to make a concerted effort to be more creatively productive in the future. If you dig back in the archives of this blog to November 24, 2008 you will see that I was "tagged" and revealed a number of arcane facts about yours truly.

Thanks again for the award.
