I couldn’t get into the studio today but I was able to channel some creative efforts at a long postponed birthday dinner in my honor. Thanks D & F (and M). It was a truly memorable evening! I hope Walter has slept it off.

Mark,
ReplyDeleteMom never let me play with my food. She was always telling me to go eat my crayons. I enjoy the humor that you bring to your blog. Come by my blog for a laugh. Look for link to Thechesterandcarlshow. My goal is to be a member of Dailypainters.
Rick,
ReplyDeleteIt must have been tough growing up a TV heartthrob in the 50’s only to find yoursel…What? It’s Nilson? Oh…never mind.
I respect anyone who can paint architecture well. There’s a nice Hopperesque quality to your outer banks paintings. Some, like “Dowdy lane boathouse” and “No wake” even take on a Maurice Prendergast feel. Your sense of humor is certainly in evidence in the rooster and chicken paintings and the wren pieces are strangely compelling.
I never had luck with plumbago; it doesn’t do well in Reisterstown for some reason. I miss those cobalt blue blossoms.
Hey Mark,
ReplyDeleteWalter slept it off today.
Debby
Glad your dinner was as good as ours! Kids love the pokeball. I am enjoying your site, sorry it took me so long to get here :)
ReplyDeletelooking forward to an early bedtime, like in the next 30 minutes....zzzzzzzzzz
Mark,
ReplyDeleteI was a fun party. Special thanks to my muse Ms. Marti for her charm and beauty. The drunken weiner dog just got a bath and is much fresher than he was last night. Keep up the good work.
Mark,
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my site and the comments on my work. I had to look up those 2 guys to be sure that you were just talking smart and not insulting me. Now I'm going to have to move that plumbago.
Rick
Rick,
ReplyDeleteI weren’t tryin’ to be all highfalootin’. The art history buff in me comes out sometimes. I wasn’t implying derivation, merely reflection.
Mark,
ReplyDeleteDerivation? You must be reading my mail.
Thanks again.
Rick
